Uh-oh, looks like this curious veil wandered a little too far from her home lair (Lunalis #526243) and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

For most dragons, being born a magic prodigy would be a dream come true.
Not this one.
She came from a small village where the one thing that was absolutely outlawed was magic. And for a hatchling with no control over her extraordinary powers, this obviously didn’t go too well.
And so she left, saying goodbye to her family and friends in the search for a place where she wouldn’t be an embarrassment, wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
She knew her search for the perfect home may take a while, but she was willing to accept those odds because she knew that somewhere out there, a perfect home awaits.

Her search took her to multiple clans before settling down in a remote area in The Shifting Expanse. Here she could use her magic as much as she wanted! She met a fellow traveller Poppy and the two hit it off pretty easily! After a few weeks spending the nights watching the stars together out in the wilderness of the expanse it was time for her to go. Poppy wished her good luck!

Despite the magical haven she had just left she still felt uncomfortable with her abilities. After training herself to hide it for so long it was hard to get into the groove of using them regularly. Especially when she still had to hide her power from time to time, not knowing weather a clan will shun her or accept her for her power. Following the stars Arouca arrived at her next clan but approached hesitantly, holding her breath and waiting to see some spark of magic before she could be open with her own. Most dragons were asleep a few chatting in public spaces dimly lit that’s when she saw the bright blue light in the Sky, a beacon coming from somewhere in the clan. No one else paid any attention to it, she sighed relieved and happily entered knowing she would be safe.

Seeking out the source of the light she came across a gorgeous skydancer named Sugarspun. Who gasped at Auroras presence, “You, you’re one of us aren’t you! I can feel it, oh must join us for today’s meeting!” Looking around Aurora spots other magic users, “we’re the clans magic guild, we waited for tonight to have the meeting so we could try these spells” and she motions out towards the beam “it’s so much prettier at night don’t you think?” Aurora stayed with the magic guild while they taught her what they know and helped her develop her skills over the days she spent at the clan. Eventually she became a bit uncomfortable with all the admiring eyes her magic attracted, sensing this her new friend Sugarspun helped her ready herself for the road again.

The road took her back to the Tangled Woods; a place she had forsaken a while ago. But she was not to return home, but to reach the border of Plague and Shadow - the Foxfire Bramble. Even if wasn't a shadow denizen, she would've been aware of the dangers the thorny place brought - she was even more so, having been raised in the land of eternal night. With caution, she entered the Foxfire Bramble.

Why enter such a dangerous place, you may wonder? A passing traveler had mentioned to her where a clan almost quite literally made up of magic resided - the Kingdom. Inside, Aurora hoped to learn how to develop her magic better, while also discover if anyone knew anything about her magic. The journey was long and tiresome, but a fog rolled in fairly quickly. The veilspun originally brushed off the visible fog as her well-adjusted nightvision, but when she found herself inside a cave overlooking a dazzling of eleven elemental-like spires, she did a double-take.

She wondered if she found it, and then a voice coughed nervously from her left. She turned, baring her magic, and the denim-buttercup Obelisk held up his claws. Aurora did another double-take, and sensed the presence of the Lightweaver within him; however, his bright red eyes betrayed his birthland as the Scarred Wasteland.

She asked if he was a magic-user like her, and he shrugged; yes and no. He didn't elaborate further, nor did Aurora ask further. He introduced himself as Venti, and answered Aurora's question she had been wondering: "Oh, magic? Well, I've heard rumors that our Queen possesses a strong magic, but... she's been gone for a while. You could ask one of the Elemental Priests, though?"

She encountered Yuugure, the Elemental Priest of the Shadow Flight, first. The Fae was kind but utterly cryptic. All he could really tell her - truthfully - was that "when the time came, her magic would be of important use to her and those around her." He DID teach her how to control it better, but the veilspun felt she had no place here anymore; a few days later, she left the Kingdom.
