He'd gotten his nature from his parents. The pair were the founders of his birth clan. He was raised to want to protect his peers, to want to keep people safe. It was a role he would come to love and, when the time was right, he was pushed to find another clan that he could come to love and care for as his own.
Torill was by no means the founder of the clan he found himself in, nor was he amidst the very first sets of claws to tread upon the land by the time he had arrived, but he loved it all the same. When he had first set off, he wasn't sure he would be able to meet his parents' expectations. He didn't know if he was going to be able to make them proud of what he would manage to do, but after finding Miere, he... didn't care much anymore. What mattered to him now was that he was happy where he was and the dragons around him seemed to love him just as much as he loved them.
"So, what was your name again?" He asked, looking up from the book sat on the wooden desk before him. The book was thick, bound by what looked like leather, though the material had certainly seen better days. The paper was frayed around the edges, a hodgepodge of hand-crafted materials that contrasted the almost professionally put-together leather cover.
"Kithios! I'm.. uh.. not too sure how long I plan on staying, before you ask." The other answered, nervously tapping his front claws on the desk. This was a process he wasn't all that familiar with just yet. Heck, he wasn't even sure if this was a standard procedure across several clans, but the calm, friendly look of the usually-scary Gaoler before him kept him calm enough to go through it all without issue.
"That's alright! So long as you aren't here for anything malicious, we don't really mind how long dragons tend to stay within our grounds," Toril said with a smile, scribbling down the Mirror's name on a brand new page in the book, "Now, there isn't much else I have personally to say to you, but I'm sure I'd be able to give you a small tour before handing you off to someone else to continue the tour so I can get back to my station here!"
"Oh that would be nice..!" Kithios nodded, taking a couple of steps back from the desk so he could sit on all fours once again.
"Sweet! Follow me! I'll show you my favorite place first!" He trotted out from behind the desk and towards the main area of the clan grounds, tail practically wagging happily behind him. Oh how he loved this job.
