Then suddenly, there was a very brightly colored guardian declaring something in the area was his charge. And then his mate showed up and dumped a pile of miscellaneous trash on the ground, rumbled thoughtfully, and declared that it was as good a place for a hoard as any. And a couple of visiting nature fae oohed and aahed over the tree Nera had chosen for her roost, and chose to stay to help it thrive in the Ashfall Wastes' extreme heat and limited sunlight. And the guardian with the trash hoard showed up with a coatl hatchling, and then one egg, and then several more, and suddenly Nera had a clan.

At least, that's what Nightshore and Yerwyth have told her. Nera is a bit skeptical. But the Flamecaller seems to approve, so Nera allows them their opinion that this diverse collection of neighbors is an actual clan, and focuses on reinforcing The Tree against spiral tunnels and fae roosts, and on making lovely things to decorate the lairs.
