Vazzi is one of the very few children of Oregano and Widowmaker that had survived childhood. The Clan of the Black Sun had originated in the Starfall Isles in service of the Arcane Flight, until they were driven from their island home by the Shade, fleeing into the Scarred Wasteland, land of the PlagueBringer. Despite being allowed to stay in the infested land and some of the residents being Plague dragons themselves, the Clan never truly adapted to the evergrowing infection that defined the Plague Flight. Survival was key in the Plague Flight, and surviving was something that the Clan had struggled for a long while. Over the moons, they'd lost friends old and new to battles or illness, or even starvation despite their best efforts to heal. Because of this, most hatchlings die the moment they hatched or a few days after. But Vazzi was a survivor. He is the son of two of the Clan's Flight Representatives. Oregano, the Representative of the Water Flight and Widowmaker, Representative of the Ice Flight. Along with other descendants of the Clan's leaders or Representatives, the Clan had a lot of expectations for Vazzi, hoping he would help in making the Clan thrive and grow stronger.

He had trained with his father in combat to become a warrior of strength and compassion and learned seek out visions. His mother, despite their elemental differences, took charge in teaching her son to learn how to control his Plague magic and aided him on hunting and flying lessons.

However, as a Guardian, he still possessed the instinct to one day start The Search. And why not? He was a natural fighter, an amazing hunter, though his power over visions could use some work. Once he had decided to begin his life-changing journey, he bid his farewells and took to the skies of Sornieth with his head held high.
