After a falling out with her parents that ended spectacularly, Anilise left home; she doesn't know if her parents still live, nor does she care to find out. She established a lair and took all dragons who need a home in. She protects her clan with the strength of a Guardian defending their Charge, and it is said she was once one; if she was she hasn't said, and no one else has either.

She is warm and motherly and cares for all the meets. She is a strong believer in second chances and that everyone can be redeemed. She is the heart of Clan Haven to this day, something even Myro doesn't dispute.

Since her son Alroy tried to take over and she had to banish him, though, she has stepped down from the role as matriarch. She now lives a quiet life in the ranks with her family, but she still knows her clan better than anyone else. Clan Haven is still her Charge and the members remain loyal to her.

While the clan technically became a matriarchy under her leadership by virtue of all the leadership roles being filled by females she never intended it to be such, and only under Myro did its status as a matriarchy become official, though any male dragons who were previous residents of the clan were permitted to stay. Whether this was mercy on Myro's part or Anilise's influence is unknown, but very few male dragons have managed to find a permanent home in the clan since. This restriction has been lifted since Myro's death, and Amelia took her mother's role.

The move to Water has effected her, and all other Arcane mages', powers badly; without the constant Arcane energies in the air around them they are forced to rely on their own strength- and they are less practised at doing so than the mages of other elements in the clan.

She is glad to be home.

Her first mate has returned; while she is very happy and settled with Berry, she is torn about how she feels about Seafoam after all this time, and his return has brought back memories of her first daughters.
