A proper clan needs a leader with a good head on his shoulders. Nicodemus very well used to be that leader. When it came time for him to be exalted, he left his clan with high hopes, knowing quite well that Sage, his former vassal, would carry on. However, this truly was not to be. Clan Arkwright moved under the allegiance of The Stormcatcher, and corporate corruption soon followed. It was Mister Caias who was there to reel everyone in at their worst and for this, Nicodemus is forever grateful.

Despite being the clan's founder, Nicodemus refused to take on the mantle of leader. He considers himself a completely different dragon than he was in his previous life, having even changed from that of a guardian to a tundra on his journey back. Instead, Nico has taken up the position of clan cleric, doing all he can to heal whatever ails his clanmates.

While plenty have changed about him, there are plenty of characteristics that have remained the same about Nicodemus. Truly, he tries his best to steer clear of rash decisions, but can quickly assess a situation and chooses a favorable course of action when urgency is required as well. Above all else, the Guardian dragon is a kind soul and is always willing to add one more member to his ever-growing clan. For the strangest reason, it seems as though he attracts a fair number of misfits into his ranks and, as a result, the clan is more than a little bit diverse. Nicodemus, being the old dragon that he was before exaltation, didn't quite understand these various ways of thinking within his clan, but he still remained accepting. Now, having been willed back from exaltation through the will of his Father, the Earthshaker, he has been allowed to rejoin his vastly changed clan.
