Biography

There was once a Tundra named Katyushka, who hatched from a Light egg... in the Southern Icefield. She knew she was destined to leave the clan where she hatched, and indeed, the moment she was an adult she left. On her way to the Sunbeam Ruins she passed by the Trading Post, and discovered a Tundra sneaking out of Crim's hoard. To her surprise, he wasn't stealing anything - he was escaping! The two of them continued on their way to the Sunbeam Ruins, where together they formed the nucleus of a new clan.

They were almost-immediately joined by an Imperial and a Snapper, both from the same lair in the Shrieking Wilds; Katyushka and Ojnk became the Founders, while they, Alternifolia, and Snowflake were the First Four, the dragons to whom all others deferred.

She and Ojnk have had many nests since founding the Solar Solar, but the majority of the hatchlings have gone on to serve the Lightweaver once they were adults; Secunda and Coffeebean are the only ones to stay, while Deutere has found a place in another clan's lair. Secunda, meanwhile, has also had most of her children go to the Lightweaver, with Tertie, Triti, Tercia, and Coaldust being the only exceptions, and the latter two having left for other clans. (Tercia left the Sunbeam Ruins entirely!)

Their final nest - because after the events of June 2019, they do not nest - was two eggs, Uncommonthicket and Shadesearer, both female; they hatched on August 28, 2018, Katyushka and Ojnk's 132nd and 133rd hatchlings.

(Katyushka reached level 25 on 2014-10-28, the first of the Solar Solar to do so; her familiar, Esmeralda the Emerald Cave Jewel, became awakened on 2015-01-10, the first familiar in the Solar Solar to do so. Her lovely sash and breastplate came from a raffle run by Musicalcakes; the pictures of Katyushka and Ojnk above are by Poisonedpaper; and the clan rune flag is by Luciellia. For two years she wore just osiem's Extra Fluffy accent over her basic genes (purchased for her by Confectionary!) but then Metallic scrolls became available, and she metallized herself!)

{She was named for, and designed to resemble, a Neopet Eyrie which I still remember fondly despite last playing Neopets more than ten years ago...

...and owlapin made a Neopet-ish adoptable of her!}

A mysterious Shadow benefactor sent Katyushka a portrait of herself after the Solar Solar's assistance with Shadow's Dreamsweeper push!

On 2018-04-07, after saving since February of that year, with the assistance of the clans of Terpsichoria and starrlight, Katyushka was able to obtain from Asgard an Illuminated Armband, which she and Ojnk had both long dreamed of having. More than two years later, on 2020-12-15, Ojnk acquired his. At last, both of them had all of the 'small apparel' items from every Brightshine Jubilee!
