While passing over the Zephyr Steppes with her mother and siblings, Miniel was hit by an unknown object in the sky. Unbeknownst to her family, she dropped like a stone and landed on the ground in front of Iphigenia, her mate Memengwa, and the ridgeback Maccaulay. Using what medical knowledge he had, Memengwa healed her injuries to the best of his ability before sending off a message to the nearby Clan Vogelzang for the assistance of their healer, Sieghilde. Although she didn't have any recollection of what had happened, Miniel was grateful toward Sieghilde for nursing her back to health. Later, after learning that her mother wasn't coming back for her, Miniel joined Iphigenia's clan. Like a bolt of electricity, Miniel is a very fast talking dragon with quick wit and enthusiastic movements. She loves hatchlings and acts like a big sister towards them. One can sometimes find Miniel with hatchlings clinging to her. Her familiar, Sirius, can be found sitting in Miniel's scarf or on her back. He communicates using gestures, noises, and facial expressions. Sirius usually has irritated expression on his face, but that's just his normal face.
