Dusk was rescued as a young adult from the wilderness after she'd been abandoned while injured by her previous clan. She was found by Queen Afrin chilled to the bone and half dead, and carefully nursed back to health.

Being cared for by Afrin herself, Dusk formed a deep loyalty to her, and now accompanies her everywhere as her private guard, except for when she is studying the battle arts under Avarice's strict tutelage.

She is a promising warrior for the clan, but she lack's Avarice's pechant for discipline. As the queen's royal guard she spends a lot of time accompanying her on diplomatic visits and other routine duties, and always needs to look her best.

Dusk is well spoken, elegant, and good enough in a fight to protect her queen.
