Before his accident Amylase was a rather handsome dragon, but ever since he was dragged into a pit of boiling pestilence by a rampaging Wartoad, he has been unrecognizable. Amylase's brother, Masseter, worked day and night to save his life, even if he had to resort to drastic measures, like using his wing membranes as material to rebuild lung tissue, or rerouting his digestive tract through his arms when his throat began to disintegrate.

Amylase lives, but has had to adjust to life with these alterations. He tires quickly, and can no longer fly, and he must crush his food with his bare claws in order to consume it. Despite all this, he is grateful to be alive, and helps his brother find living materials to practice his craft by way of gratitude.

Riot Hazebeacon Ancestral Incense Firestarter Despite recovering years ago, Amylase still feels pain from his old wounds. His sister gave him a special Hazebeacon, modified to act as a censer. He fills it with medicinal herbs, and the resulting smog helps ease his pain. His reanimated bird is even trained to keep the lantern lit while he sleeps.
