Biography
Ayizan has one job, and she does it very, very well: she's a firefighter. Specifically, she specializes in wildfires; her life's work is to manage and study fire in Sornieth's forests, and she's spent time everywhere from the Starwood Strand to Wispwillow Grove. The word manage is key here -- Ayizan knows that trying to prevent all fires only results in unhealthy forests that will go up like a lit match when a spark finally does get to them. As a result, one of her biggest duties is running controlled burns to clear out flammable material without widespread destruction. Remember, Ayizan tells hatchlings, only you can prevent forest fires, but not all forest fires should be prevented. However, when a problematic fire does arise, Ayizan is first into the fray, using all the tricks of her trade to protect people and settlements -- because for all that she knows fire is natural, she'd never let someone burn.
