Polish, Czech and Romanian form of MARIANUS. It is sometimes used as a masculine form of MARIA.[/center]

As a young dragon emerging from dragonethood, Marian was determined to find his place among other Light dragons. He set off from his home clan and rode the wind, letting it guide him to water and flinging him the occasional startled bird. Then, one day, the wind died down in a matter of seconds, and Marian, not paying close attention to flying, plummeted from the sky. He crashed on a grassy hill, where a friendly pair of Tundra dragons checked him over for injuries. How dare the wind betray his trust and abandon him? It had gotten him this far, why not farther? Besides, Marian thought, this was hardly a clan, more of a family... In that second, Marian decided, he would do his part to become one of this family, accepted by each other, because somewhere in him he knew that he was destined to be a founder. Now, you will see him soaring around on new winds, laughing as the warm spring air snuck a bug up his snout.

Then, one day, Marian was sent to a faraway clan to propose to them a partnership- and he met Braxton. A purple Tundra male, and their bond grew and smashed boundaries. They visit each other often, and Marian and Braxton share two adopted hatchlings; Hana and Jinx, whom they so love.

But lately, Marian has been looking at his two young daughters, and wondering about his own family. He never truly knew his mother and father at such a young age, but he knew and remembered his community of Light dragons. Did he have siblings that he never knew?
