✧Uh-oh, looks like this baker wandered a little too far from his home lair (grxndsxn, 437722), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting him!

Important note: Please only trade this dragon on travelling dragon threads, as opposed to places such as the Auction House.

Meringue would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt him after he's been travelling long enough, just let his owner know!

Dragon's theme

❖Being the son of two dragons known as Taffy and CottonCandy, it's no surprise that Meringue likes sweet foods. So much so, he decided to become a baker and share his creations with the world.

❖Here at Clan Ares Meringue baked many pastries and made lots and lots of fruit smoothies for the residents. He became fast friends with their chef Ram who made him home made stew for the journey ahead.

❖Meringue found a nice clan in the Shifting Expanse who definitely liked to eat and many of the dragons had a sweet tooth. It was easy to make friends when you were the one providing all the sweets, and Meringue also had the chance to experiment with new ingredients, but eventually, he decided it was time to move on and explore new areas.

❖With the Emerald Skies Caravan, Meringue teamed up with Shake to make some excellent chocolate covered pastries. Their stock would sell out the moment they opened up Shake's shop for the day.

When he left, Shake gave him some tools to help him add chocolate filling to his baked goods.

❖The snapper found his way to the open ports of Churnscar Wharf where he enjoyed a couple of days filled with sweets and baked goods from the dragons dwelling on the Tidelord's domain. But there was one particular stall with light wood oak adorned with a line of seashells and in addition there were dried leaves covering the top and bottom that sat empty for the duration of his stay. Meringue curiosity ate at him slowly until he could no longer take it, after approaching one of his new found favorite bakery for his morning scone the dragon finally asked about the stall acquiring the information he had wanted the snapper prepared to leave the port that afternoon.

The trip to find clan Vallhaen shouldn't have taken him any longer than two days but it was now day five since he's left Churnscar Wharf. The thought of just giving up and turning back did cross his mind but the words of the baker left quite an impression.

They sell the best fluffiest and tastiest fish pancakes, I know it sounds strange but that sugared and salty taste is the best combination. They usually sell out within minutes of opening up. Waking up at the crack of dawn to set up and rush over to get in line whenever they are here is totally worth it seeing as how they only come twice a month. You've just missed them by a day when you got here.

While resting on a cliffside a tundra landed to greet him, Meringue found that he was looking at the map upside down and was instead traveling in the wrong direction the entire time. Alaistair had caught wind from a passing dragon that a snapper had been looking for their lair for a few days now and had kept his eyes open for the traveler.

Grateful and relived he followed the Border Guard Alaistair back to the clan's home, talking the entire time about how the trip was to taste their famous fish pancake. Brought right to the baker Meringue excitedly sat down and was served a fresh batch of the pancakes, and it was just as delicious the shop owner had told him. The snapper gobbled the plate clean and asked the baker if he could learn the recipe, he would pay whatever price or trade recipes. Surprised when the dragon merely laughed and said it wasn't necessary as seeing how Meringue loved the dish so much.

About a week's stay later Meringue left the clan after working with the baker learning many new things and teaching as well. Before leaving the baker told the snapper; If you should ever want to return and reside here I'll gladly welcome you into my home. We can sell the improved fish pancakes we've developed together.

Thanking the baker for their friendship Meringue headed off even more thrilled to discover new desserts and pastries along with sharing his creations with others.

❖Even though Meringue didn’t stay in Astrophel long, he made many new experiences and friends! Most were wary of the friendly chef at first, as Astrophel hasn’t always been the kindest to them, but once he started making delicious food and sharing stories many become fond of him! Meringue wanted to stay much longer but Iapetus urged him away- ‘Astrophel taints the kind’ he says.

❖He found himself lost in the depths of the Shrieking Wilds. There was a strange tension in the air that was a bit uncomfortable, but finally he found a lair buried in the roots of a large old tree. Standing imposingly at the entrance was Evaleena. "You are here today to meet the princess. This is why you are allowed safe passage to our territory." Meringue was introduced to a cheerful yet fierce snapper named Mozzarella. He happily baked goods for the various dragons in the lair, but for whatever reason the 'princess' was never far from him.

Time passed, and occasionally he would wander the grounds, but he always noticed someone nearby keeping an eye on him. When he asked Evaleena about it, she explained that the territory was experiencing an incursion, and so it was for his own safety. "When the time is right, I will be sure you are escorted safely to you next destination." Asking her what she meant by 'the time being right', Evaleena refused to elaborate.

Meringue worked even harder, believing that if the clan was facing such difficulties the least he could do was bake sweets to increase morale. He grew closer to Princess Mozzarella while there and in time when there, a nest resulted. He was surprised to hear about the naming convention of the royal family but he insisted that there was at least a dessert theme, and was told it was no problem.

When the eggs safely hatched, Evaleena approached him. "The time is right to escort you to your next destination. Now it is the safest and best time." Meringue was a bit shocked at this timing, but noticed that Evaleena was not alone, and her demeanor suggested that he had finally overstayed his welcome.

He didn't understand what had just happened. He bid farewell to Princess Mozzarella and was further shocked that she did not seem surprised. "I do hope you continue your travels, and have fun! There is a lot of world out there that I imagine I would never get to see, so why don't you see it for me?"

Meringue left with mixed emotions.
