There's a glimmer in his eyes, all 4 of them, at all times. Jargon entertains dark thoughts and convinces others to perform dastardly deeds to increase his power in the darkest corners of the clan.
His appearance may have influenced his internal desires, but most of the clan thinks he looks the way he does because of the way he thinks and acts. After his sister left the clan Jargon became jealous and attempted some forbidden Arcane Magiks to gain the attention of outside clans hoping to leave himself. The incident resulted in an explosion that twisted his skin, and sent him and his parents to visit The Arcanist himself. While the deity accepted Jargon's parent's, and was entertained by Jargon himself, The Arcanist sent him back to live among the Clan again.
Jargon despaired but came to terms with his destiny and sought out new powers to serve The Arcanist, hoping to prove himself worthy. The additional powers twisted him further and he now serves no one but himself. He considers himself the true force of motivation for the Clan, manipulating things from the shadows, building his forces and biding his time until he can take true control of the clan and lead them headlong into the full power and glory of The Shade - but even that will be a means to an end.
