When he was a child, the man who now goes by Shambhala thought that he would do wonderful things. His parents were leaders of a community centre and had the leadership that comes with that. Everyone came to them for advice and help, and he looked up to them for that. He was excited to one day take their place and help lead the community. To that end when he was old enough he joined the military to help protect Neo Necropolis from outside threats. He spent many years here, eventually being inducted into the special forces as an absolute crack shot. When his squad was ambushed, he was discharged medically with the rest of them: cranial trauma, a metal plate in the back of his head. It was fine, he thought, now he'd start his life back home. But he was wrong. Now they saw that he was ready to see behind the curtain, revealing to him terrible secrets. They had been exploiting the community the entire time, in the most awful of ways. Cielo was horrified, so horrified that something inside him snapped. When the centre went up in flames, he turned away and never looked back. He renames himself Shambhala and decides he will do good in another way. By day he works a crisis centre, by night, he is a vigilante. At least until he got caught, spent several years in prison, had to joined the Thanatos Syndicate to get away, and then finally came back home with even more baggage. His motivations are pure. He targets the true evil, the worst of the worst. Well, mostly. That was before his stint, he has to pay for rent somehow. Mercenary work drains his spirit but there's little choice in the matter. He's practical before idealistic, driven to use his skillset to try and alleviate the troubles of the city. You might expect him to be grim and serious but really he's quite a goof, a well mannered and friendly with endless patience for everyone. After all, you never know what someone else is going through; no one ever notices when harm comes to the little people, but he does. He's the person who can do something about it, and that's what he'll do. This isn't the life he wanted to lead, but that's just how it goes. You do what you can with the skills you have.
