Despite her name, Lucky is anything but lucky.

She was supposed to be born with the powers of the stars in her scales, and yet she was blind; her eyes reflected all light. After a few weeks, the reflective coating word off, leaving her with better - but still fractured - vision.

The first animal to cross her path as a hatchling was a black cat. She brought it back to her den to the horror of her superstitious parents. They immediately threw it out of the house. Lucky followed close behind, hoping to at least know where it was going. The cat had trapped a frog and was about to have lunch when Lucky stepped in, pulling the frog away and offering her new cat friend some fish instead. She named the cat Inky and the frog Scarlet.

The trio decided to venture out and seek their fortune, because that sounded like a fun thing to do. They soon ran into a problem, however. No matter which way they went, they always seemed to end up back at Lucky's den. After a few hours of walking in circles, Lucky realized she could've been flying the whole time. She flew to the top of the tallest tree in the nearby forest and clung to it, searching. A green glow shone from an unknown source a few miles off. Lucky let her animal friends climb on her back, then flew towards the glow.

When the three got there, they found an old wizard. He gave Lucky a potion to drink, which restored her eyesight to normal. Since she loved Spring, he also cast a spell on her. It caused a flurry of petals to fly around her constantly, so she could keep some of Spring's joy with her wherever she went. Unfortunately, the petals consistently found their way into her eyes, so the wizard had to give her more of the sight potion to counteract it. The three continued on their way.

After a few month's journey, Lucky, Inky, and Scarlet found themselves in the Wind kingdom. Lucky was enchanted with all the bright, gentle colors that reminded her of Spring. She even learned Wind magic so she could show her love of Wind by wearing its symbol.

Eventually, Lucky decided she would go visit her home clan, Lightning. However, the other Lightning dragons soon started grumbling about the Wind rune she wore. They became increasingly hostile towards her, muttering that she should be loyal only to the Stormcatcher. Lucky was forced to flee Lightning, travelling all the way to the Southern Icefield before she felt safe again.

Once she was in the Ice kingdom, however, she began to get lonely. Inky and Scarlet helped, a little, but she couldn't really talk to them and it wasn't the same as being a part of a clan of her own. One day, a sliver and blue Fae flew by the den Lucky had made for herself and her companions. She saw them huddled together and came to see if they were all right. When she heard of what had happened to the young Spiral, the Fae offered to adopt Lucky into her clan. Lucky agreed.

Though Lucky still missed the springtime weather of Wind, the endless flow of petals showering around her helped cheer her up when the monotone ice became boring. She elected herself "Official Wind Representative", which seems to be no more than an honorary title. Inky has found many new friends in this new kingdom, as the Icewarden sends cats over to visit the clan sometimes. Inky also helps Lucky organize her endless lists of Wind Representative Stuff - which isn't too very helpful, as she's often the one messing up the scrolls to begin with. Scarlet finds new friends in the cold and brings them to Lucky, and she's always more than happy to let them come to her den. Lucky also found another friend, hidden within a lamp. It's a serpent who she named 'Unluck'. No one knows why she named it that way; it is possible she was trying to avoid giving it the misfortune she had gone through.

Soon after arriving at Sanctuary, Lucky met another green dragon almost just like her. He had reflective eyes, delicate insect-like wings, and starry scales. His name was Aneurin. The two were fast friends; Aneurin told her wonderful stories of the Sunbeam Ruins, and she told him about her travels across Sornieth. She even gave him some of the sight potion the wizard had given her, and taught him the magic needed to display the Gladekeeper's emblem. She designated him "Official Nature Representitive" and "Unofficial Wind Representative-in-Training", titles he accepted with bemused confusion.

After a few months, Aneurin asked her if she wanted to be his mate. She accepted happily, accidentally tying herself in knots in her excitement. The two decided to stay in Sanctuary most of the time, but occasionally visit other flights, mostly Wind and Nature because of the connections each has in those flights.
