A LATE NIGHT STORM

Lighting lights up the swirling grey sky , in the trees below a
shadow shifts in the darkness. As light returns to the clouds again the shadow's eyes glow bright green . They move quickly and randomly. As the light fades , they disappear in to the trees . As this happens Midnight , a local dragon, is walking through a forest that she had walked through so many times before. She is coming home to the lair she had left only days before. She had left to go on a trading trip , and had not expected to come back this late . The shadow notices Midnights red wings , and started to follow her . Midnight hears the cracking of sticks as the shadow walks . She turns to find a mint colored dragon with blue spots covering their body . Their mane was soaked . The rain started to come down harder , but Midnight still could make out a face hidden behind a hood . A deep voice spoke to her ,
" hello , do you know of any nearby lairs or trade centers ?"
At first Midnight had no words , but quickly found them .
" I'm returning to my home lair , would you like to walk with me ?"
Light struck the sky once more , and the mint dragon's eyes glowed again.
"Yes , I would like that very much . Thank you ."
"By the way , my name is Alenia . I am a inventer. What is your name ?"
