Biography
Scourge
Because they took our love and they filled it up Filled it up with Novocaine and now I’m just numb And don't mind me, I’m just a son of a gun So don’t stop, don’t stop until your heart goes numb Now I’m just numb - Fall Out Boy; Novacaine. WIP Gender: Male. Favourite Colour: Brown. Favourite Food: Parasitic Grub Mate: None Vile|Savage|Broken Scourge is a vicious dragon. Raised by a herd of blood-thirsty centaurs, Scourge's view on the world is both twisted and broken. He hates all dragons, though with the help of Meira and Virus, his caretaker, he is slowly getting used to their presence. However, he is not a very welcome dragon in the Dusk Garden; many of the others fear him as he is unpredictable and violent, and they fear that Virus, who was an anti-dragon centaur herself, is a spy for the Venomblaze herd. Despite this, Nisha and Meira have made it clear that Scourge is still considered a member of the clan, and have been working hard to rehabilitate Scourge. Now, Scourge lives with the clan in relative peace, but he still doesn't like other dragons. The only person allowed to be near him is Virus, and she too is still learning to trust the others. Should a dragon approach Scourge he will hiss, adopting a threatening posture until the other dragon leaves. Virus is more willing to talk to the others, and often acts as a translator and ambassador for Scourge. While she is uncomfortable living with the creatures she has been taught to hate, she is willing to do so if it gives Scourge the home and family he WIP Stuff under header. Background Main Header To the east of the Wispwillow grove lies The Scared Wasteland, the decaying domain of the Plaguebringer. Scourge was born and raised here, but not by his own family. When he was just an egg, his nest was attacked by warriors of the Venomblaze Herd; a centaur Herd whose territory existed over the border of the Scared Wasteland and the Tangled Wood, and who had made it their mission to eliminate all dragons they come across. There were no survivors of that nest except for Scourge, who had been spared by Virus, one of the warriors who had killed his siblings. She still doesn't know what compelled her to spare the small egg. As the one responsible for bringing him back, raising Scourge had been Virus's duty. Her father and leader of the herd, Taboo, had plans to make Scourge into a weapon, to be used against his own kind. Virus had complied with her father, and raised Scourge in such a way. However, Virus grew to love the young dragon, thinking of him as if he was her own foal. The rest of the herd, however, did not share the same sentiments. He was mercilessly beaten, taunted and tortured just for the fun of it. His training was harsh, and left the small dragon with many scars that would never heal. He was constantly told how he was a scourge upon Sornieth, like all dragons before him, and Scourge grew up a twisted, bitter, and violent dragon. At first, Virus turned a blind eye to everything. But as time went on, it became increasingly difficult to watch. Scourge was turned into a violent monster as all his humanity was driven from his soul, incapable of knowing compassion and friendship. She knew it was her fault. As raising Scourge had been her duty, Virus decided that she must leave the herd and take Scourge with her, and find other dragons that he could live with. Her departure was as sudden as her decision. Unfortuantly, she was spotted making her getaway. Furious that his daughter would betray the herd, Taboo ordered for Virus to be killed and she was relentlessly pursued and hunted. Desperate to protect her charge, Virus fled into the Tangled Wood, where, by some miracle, she ran into Meira and Brenton. He first reaction had been to draw her bow at the two dragons, but her pursuers had arrived before she could release the arrow. Though confused by the situation, Meira jumped to Virus and Scourge's defense, and the four of them chased off the warriors. Once it was safe, Virus explained their situation, and Meira offered them shelter back at the Dusk Garden. Scourge did not settle in well with the clan. Being raised to hate all dragons, Scourge reacted violently to anyone who attempted to talk to him. Many of the clan felt uneasy with him around, and pleaded Nisha that he be sent away. Virus, too, felt uncomfortable being around so many dragons. But Nisha saw a dragon who needed their help, and she wasn't prepared to send away a dragon in need. It took a while, but with Meira's help, they managed to gain Scourge's trust, even if he still doesn't entirely do so. "Hisssssss..." - Scourge |
