Anuke isn’t unkind to anyone, it’s just that she doesn’t go out of her way to be kind. If someone has done well, she commends them. If someone has done something wrong, she berates them. Otherwise, she is calm, cool, and collected. She is her clan’s most powerful warrior, and she must always be on guard. Always. Even when she sleeps, she is smart, her familiar CursedWhale a constant presence watching over her when she rests. And her sleep is just that, rest, not the “me time” other dragons treat it as. If you ask just about anyone other than her closest friends, that’s the way she always is. Always present, ever watchful. After all, they say, surely the most respected fighter and the most powerful dragon of the clan is a consistently responsible and uptight individual. |

And she is. Usually. But let’s just say that there’s a reason she doesn’t drink outside of her own home, and it’s not the danger of wandering home drunk. The moment you get even a single glass of mead into her, she takes that “me time” she pretends to look down upon, as happy and as giggly as a newborn hatchling. Oftentimes CursedWhale watches over her, standing guard as precocious as ever, but if there are friends around and the little guy gets into the alcohol himself, he’s got twice the energy of the average hatchling and roughly half of the self-control. It’s the only time the two ever really relax, as CursedWhale takes his duty as Anukes assistant as seriously as she takes being the clan’s protector, despite the fact that he isn’t actually a dragon. The breaks are far and few between, but they are appreciated when the opportunity arises, especially by Anuke’s friends and family if anything particularly funny happens. ~by AmbientMage |
