She was born in Shadow. Her parents could barely provide for themselves, so in hopes of a better future they sold her to be adopted by a couple on the crew of a pirate ship. She spent her childhood sailing the open seas with her new adopted parents.

One day, their ship was under attack. Her adopted dad fought to escape and keep her alive, but her adopted mom was selfish (and had been neutral toward the idea of adopting in the first place) and tore the child away from her dad, throwing her overboard into the ocean to drown and die in order to save themselves.

But the maren rescued the little hatchling, raising her as their own until she was old enough to provide for herself. She was content with living with the maren forever and sailing the seas alone, but her mother/older sister figure, Adira, insisted that dragons did not belong with the beastclans. So, not wanting to return to the places where she had been abandoned, she set off in exploration of the Windswept Plateau.

Little did she know, her past would come back to haunt her, and soon enough she would have to face the dragons who hurt her the most.
