Vectra
The Bulwark "For Plaguebringer!" 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 |
PERSONALITY
Imperious | Driven | Combative Vectra considers herself a model Necromancer. Though she is not a Councilor, nor does she have wishes to be, she very much believes that herself and her kind are truly Mother’s left hand. Though her breed is new, it is the purpose of an obelisk to stand guard, to protect, and to be on the front lines of conflicts. While she once fought to spread Plaguebringer’s influence, she continues to do so with the addition of protections to one of Icewarden’s clans. She believes that one day, Anaphylaxis, the Councilor to which she has bound herself in duty to, will one day bring Nherva and her clan over to Plaguebringer for all time. She serves Anaphylaxis so long as she believes this to be the case. Many fear Vectra, for good reason, as she is a master of disease and combat. She is driven by her sole purpose to fight for Plaguebringer over all, but contrary to popular belief, is smart enough to know that sometimes one must fight for other things on the path to their true goal. In the back of her mind, beneath her allegiance to Anaphylaxis, the entourage, and Plaguebringer, there is something else she knows she must guard Sornieth against--for Plaguebringer, Icewarden, and the rest of the gods mean nothing if Sornieth falls. Vectra was responsible for all of Clan Geist’s young warriors that participated in the first ever Warrior’s Way. Though she is not much of a teacher, Vectra did impart her knowledge of combat to the wyrmlings that wished to hone their skills for the event. It gave her an even deeper purpose, seeing all of the fledgelings of the clan try their claws at combat for the first time. Some of them would make good warriors yet. Few ever choose to argue with the obelisk, and those who do so are usually put in their place quickly if push comes to shove. As a Holy Knight, Vectra is driven to hunt down those wayward Necromancers as well as any dragons that bargain with the Shade. The world must remain pure, and she will be Mother’s hand in routing out the infection that should not spread, for a Necromancer should know how and when to control disease as well as to inflict it. |

BIOGRAPHY
Though Vectra is not a first generation obelisk, she was born very near to their debut into the world. Because of this, she holds dear the ideals that her breed is meant to guard against something. Guardian dragons might have individual Charges unto themselves, but obelisks are meant for more and Vectra is sure of it. She took the trials for the strength Mother offered. Of all the elements each god represented, Plaguebringer’s was the most insidious and difficult to understand. Vectra believes that knowing one’s weaknesses and learning their enemies tactics is tantamount to being a strong warrior. She took the trials to learn as much as she possibly could about the element, even though her own was far removed from Plague. Some say the things that Vectra knows now--the way she employs lightning and plague upon the fields of battle--are almost beyond reckoning and none have ever seen the true scope of her power. Most think she is simply a rash, stupid soldier with barely two braincells to rub together. That could not possibly be farther from the truth. Only Anaphylaxis and her entourage seem to know how smart Vectra truly is, and what a grave mistake it is to think otherwise.
Vectra claims no membership in any of Clan Geist’s warrior sects--neither the Wyld Hunt nor the Rimeguard, but each have asked for her help on several occasions. She simply refuses to join any new order when she is loyal to her liege lady and Councilor Anaphylaxis. She does, however, work closely with the Crafter’s Guild on the fabrication of new weapons and helps arm prospective warrior wyrmlings when they begin to show some aptitude for fighting and defense.

Rare Eyes
Dragons with rare eyes are masters of transmutation. Some have command of several elements while others utilize their birth element in ingeniously clever ways, such as making fire run like water or wind carry the currents of lightning. While their strength and ability vary by individual, rare-eyed dragons are infallibly clever, sometimes too clever for their own good. With their ability to contort and transform their magic, dragons with rare eyes find the Trial of Contagion to be intuitive (if not easy) and are likely to pass, assuming they make it that far.

Necromantic Symbol - Armor
A symbol of defense, indefatigability, resolution, tenacity, stoicism, retribution, and loyalty. Necromancers wearing armor are holy knights, often serving on behalf of the Necromantic Council to hunt down the condemned who have transgressed against Mother. Charlatans masquerading as Necromancers, unholy necromancers who raise the undead, feral Ghouls, and Lichs are all considered their prey. Necromancers wearing armor will serve without question, and will destroy whatever enemy they are pointed towards.
