  • her mother, Cordelia, died far too young from an incurable illness
    - was a successful jeweler
    - rumor has it she knew some sorcery, but Aelis isn't certain
    - really didn't like Blain, only mated with him since she was a little too drunk
  • -her father, Blain, was more focused on his work and apprentice than his daughter
    - was a druid, though did very little with his skills
    -kinda a grieving tactic, she looked too much like his lost love for him to bear
    - kept a shrine in his "wife's" honor after her death
    - battled with some depression issues, which may have to do with his death
    - never realized that his lack of focus negatively impacted his relationship with Aelis
