details + smoothing
depending on texture, smooth requires sandpaper + gesso
rough - texture paint
thin groves, cut into it or cover in more paper and make wetter use wire to press into it
thick groves, mix of paper and texture paste.
Before painting, seal in gesso, use acrylic to colour to the base.
Painting groves, use a dry brush to lightly colour
Paint in a light coat of PVA to fully seal
