Biography
tree mom
Artemis fairy
"Seems we found the perfect spot, haven't we little one?" She tilted her head. He laughed.
"Beauty finds beauty, and here we both were created." She didn't understand the words he spoke but they were comforting.
"Lets go see if we can find out more about you, i'm sure the sorcerer skydancers will know." Artemis was confused as the giant dragon stood up and shook out his scales. His colors were similar to her own, he looked like a giant tree. He had great big deer horns in addition to the brown horns that were already there. His head was crowned with a white circlet and golden berries hung from it. Flowers were cascading around his wings. A white cape was draped across his shoulders and back. Along his shoulders mushrooms grew. His claws were protected with golden bramble that looked soft to touch. He raised his muzzle just to be under her little body and she sat. He walked through the crooked forest, which seemed to bend away from him at every step. The sun ceased to bathe her scales and she frowned.
It wasn't too long of a walk before the imperial stopped. He had stopped in front of some smaller looking dragon, though still bigger than Artemis. She looked over his muzzle at this curious dragon. He was blue with pink wings and clothed in black. A curious pointy hat sat upon his head. He looked quite surprised to see the giant imperial.
"Starlet, right?" The imperial questioned.
"That would be me." Starlet was clearly confused, especially considering it would have been hard to miss a giant light brown imperial in the forest yet clearly he had on his many walk throughs.
"I'm assuming you know of the tiny little dragon? Or dragons?" The great imperial bowed his head slowly so Starlet could see the pearl.
"Ah yes! We had three others appear yesterday. Mazer, I am assuming you know who that is," The imperial gently nodded, "managed to create them. We have them living on the west side of the island where the meadow is."
"Perfect, thank you." The imperial walked off again, heading towards the west side of the island.
"Wait! Who are you?" Starlet called out.
"You don't deserve to know me, but them, I will call them Artemis." Starlet looked completely lost. Who was them? The little pearlcatcher? Artemis turned to watch the great imperials eyes. They were a beautiful green, just like her eyes. He seemed focus on walking but he spoke to her.
"Yes, I call you Artemis. In mythology she was a goddess of the hunt, but also of nature and wilderness. They call me Adan, which means World." Artemis smiled, she understood.
Adan brought Artemis to the meadow and greeted Aelfdene. He helped Artemis settle before leaving back into the crooked forest.
"Welcome Artemis! You are the fourth Fabled Flux to exist. I'm Aelfdene, the first, that is Metallis and that is Beebo. We all came into existence yesterday. Its confusing, our existence, but lucky for you we can all communicate with each other! Except Beebo, he can't."
"This is all very confusing and a lot in general, if you don't mind i'm going to fly around a bit."
Artemis flew around for a while thinking and adventuring. In her small trip she gathered many flowers and held them close to her heart. Each was so beautiful and vibrant. She found a lovely white and yellow flower that looked like the one's Adan wore and placed it by her ear.
After fully settling into her new home, she searched for Adan again, though she wouldn't dare enter the crooked forest. She was too scared of the trees. As she was bordered the forest line Adan appeared before her and he smiled. She smiled as well.
"It took me a little bit but I think i've learned your language. Does this sound right?" Artemis giggled and smiled.
"It sounds quite alright to me." She landed on his nose and looked again into his eyes.
"Your eyes are so green, what are mine like?"
"Yours are just as green, if not more beautiful."
"Beautiful?" She questioned.
"A word of dragon-tongue, its like how flowers look or plants."
"How lovely."
"Did you need something from me?"
"Oh yes! I wanted to talk with you again in that beautiful sunny clearing. It made my scales feel beautiful the way the sun felt." Artemis brightened as she recalled the feeling.
"Its rejuvenating the way the sun feels, its like drinking a sip of water when you've been thirsty. Come along, i'll show it to you again." They trekked off back to the clearing.
Here is where Adan shared his many stories and his own life story, though Artemis has never dared whisper it to another soul. It is something for them two to share. Here in this clearing they enjoy the feeling of the sun and together get to act like plants.
