Cynfaen discovered the clan when the theater troup gave a performance in a little art festival they set up with nearby clans.
They were quite younger than Dyonis, but they quickly succumbed to the writer's charm. They came back to the next performances until the end of the festival, then they gathered their courage and went right to the backstage asking if, maybe, they could be part of the troup - even only one play !

After all, they were born among the wind dragons, the most inspired artists of them all. However, Cynfaen never even went on a stage, and had a lot to learn. Maybe too much for the troup, they feared...
Unnecessary worry, as the troup was not really made of professional artists but more of passionate theater enthusiasts who had the opportunity to live their dream occupation everyday because they were part of a huge clan which would provide everything they needed (in fact, in exchange for a bit a everyday chores, they had food and a place to stay among this village of happy friends who survived mostly because of the mages' work).

That's how Cynfaen began to train with the troup, whose member were delighted to have a neophyte to teach to. Dyonis quickly took them under his wing, for their greatest pleasure.
Efficiently coached, they became one of the actors of the troup and improved quickly. If not as inspired and natural as some could be, they mastered the theatrical techniques and soon could rely on this mastery to explore harder parts.

They quickly became best friend with the costume designer and manager, Galaway.
At first, they feared Acrux would look unfavorably at them getting closer to Dyonis, as they though the two troup rulers were engaged in a relationship. However, if a bit distant because she always lives in a world half made of art daydreaming, the Windsong proved herself a great teacher and even supported them to get closer to Dyonis.

Dyonis was an artist and devoted to his art before anything else, and all passions he could live were for the art in an artist more than for the artist themself. His teaching to Cynfaen soon ignited the same kind of passion, blazing and burning fiercely; but over time, the writer found himself more and more smitten. Cynfaen had a kind of hardworking charm, this insane focus when they forgot everything around them, that was so estranged to him, that he felt inexorably attracted. The longing gaze the enamored actor laid upon him every opportunity they had soon became like breathing air for him. Cynfaen ernergy and meditation moment alike became embers igniting the flame of his inspiration. And like that, Cynfaen became his muse.
More inspired than ever, but also perpetually unsatisfied with his work, he wrote pages and pages without getting anywhere, until he let them be inspired by him. The first and only play they wrote together is still their secret garden. If a few parts have been played with the others, the core part is only theirs and no one ever saw it.

Cynfaen is now an established troup member. They have a passion for gothic and horror stories, and since they inspires the writer, the troup's catalog end up with may more plays involving mystery, horror and ghosts than before. They are also the prized storyteller around the firepit when the clan members want a terrific story.
