Maxima was named by Adrastea, who was raising her and noticed how large the hatchling was growing. Adrastea was unaware that Imperial dragons are naturally very large and that Maxima isn't particularly huge for her breed, but the name stuck anyway. Maxima is the keeper of familiars, or the 'Master of the Bestiary'. Despite her imposing physical stature, Maxima is incredibly gentle and compassionate towards other living things. She takes care of and bonds with the huge menagerie located in Arscham's Bestiary. Nandor assists her in these tasks when he isn't sleeping. Maxima is always excited to meet a new familiar, no matter how challenging they might behave towards her at first. She exhibits a wild curiosity and wonder towards her environment that remind all her clanmates of their sacred deity, the Arcanist. She commands respect and honor naturally and by studying and engaging with all kinds of life and magic around her.
