Biography
As Akrasi's firstborn, Morrow's childhood with filled with both adventure and a rabid desire to prove herself to her father and his followers. The young Mirror, alongside her brothers Zafir and Racon, was cherished by the Swarm, but Morrow's desire for greatness soon blinded her to their appreciation. Every patrol became challenge, every play-fight a battle.
As the three mirrors aged, Morrow grew more bitter towards her brothers. Zafir's magical adeptness and acceptance into the highest ranks of the Swarm was nothing but a challenge to her desired authority. When Racon was believed to be banished to the Stormcatcher's Workforce, Morrow irrationally feared that she would be next.
Well, defeating the Banescale warrior that injured her father would certainly prove her worth, wouldn't it?
The young dragoness never stood a chance.
A lone Tundra discovered the young Mirror's body, long-since shredded by talons and sand. Once the news traveled to Akrasi, nothing could hinder the elder Mirror's fury and grief. Breaking tradition to seek magical aid outside the Swarm, Akrasi and the Tundra recklessly searched for a dragon to bring his daughter back.
Efforts revealed mixed success.
Morrow's memory is now hindered to her earliest years, and she remains ignorant to her physical and mental changes. Land-bound and unpredictable but impossibly optimistic, Morrow's second chance is a moral debate among the Swarm.
Art/Character notes!
- Very tattered scales/flesh, bones visible around her hands, tail, and neck. She doesn't seem to notice or mind, though will absentmindedly pick at it.
- Wings are split into two parts, as indicated with her Proto Wings. She cannot fly.
- EXTREMELY clumsy - a hazard to herself and others. Akrasi doesn't know if she can die again, so is very overprotective of her because of this.
- And so, Jedda is almost always nearby, keeping watch for Akrasi.
- Doesn't age or decay. But injuries also don't heal, and Akrasi's deeply unsettled by the idea that she may outlive those who could keep her safe.
- She's terrified of Daboia, and the elder Mirror hates her in turn. To the fanatically plague-minded matriarch, Morrow should have remained dead, as unworthy of a second chance as any other. (Also Dab is younger than Morrow would have been and her reanimation occurred well before Dabioa joined the Swarm)
