"Serendipity," Fell said with a wry smile, "nothing more than that." He heard the whispers of the crowd that had gathered and felt the intensity of the stare from the dragon glaring down at him. These stuck-up magician types were his favorite to torment. "Here I was," Fell dramatically waved his arm, "out on my midday walk when I hear someone say something about healing. For such a large sum of Treasure. Hark! I though," he swept the other arm so they were now both outstretched, "I am a mage. And I can do it for so much less!"

His smile grew wider and, perhaps, a bit malicious. These greedy types were all the same. Boasting of such skilled magic and a premium price to match. It was easy to find the type-- they're all so loud after all-- and they made his job so much easier. The rules of business were simple, really: start with a high price and work your way down. When the kind and heroic, some may say charitable, competition just so happens to swoop in with a much lower offer, they're the one to get paid to save the day. They're usually tipped rather generously, too. It was an easy game to play but he'd never grown bored of it yet.
