Biography
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Born in the Southern Icefields, Kiryu did not know his parents well, as he was orphaned at a young age. He spent his hatchlinghood in a small orphanage, where he befriended an Imperial known as Nishiki. The two became more than just best friends; indeed, they were nothing less than sworn brothers. Shintaro Kazama, owner of the orphanage, became a foster father to the two, and raised the two—but especially Kiryu—as his own. Captain of the Doijma clan, he introduced the boys to the Clan, the most powerful clan in the overarching yakuza association known as the Tojo Clan. The Dragon found himself as a debt collector for the Family, but soon found himself in hot water when a dragon he collected a gem debt from was found murdered, leaving him with the blame. However, once he discovered that the other dragon had died from a run-in with the one of Beastclans, Kiryu decided to go about proving his innocence. Soon, the male found himself expelled, per his request, after he realized he could not handle any of the three Lieutenants (the very same whom thought him guilty) taking over the position of Captain after the ruling one ended up imprisoned. During his expulsion, Kiryu found a temporary home among the clan of Sgail Lasair, located in the Great Furnace of the Ashfall Wastes. Reluctant as some members were at housing a dragon with such huge enemies (those with such opinions completely ignoring the Assassins and Templars/Beastclan supporters in their midst), Kiyru quickly proved himself worthy. It was in Sgail Lasair that he caught the eye of male Skydancer by the name of Majima, with whom he started an…interesting relationship. The two became rivals nearly right away, but despite this, Majima went to many lengths to “protect” Kiryu—if only because he believed that only he had the right to end the Imp’s life. While he did eventually return to the Southern Icefields and clear his name (despite his former clan’s attempts to hunt him down and kill him “out of mercy”) after taking down the Doijma clan, the Dragon decided to extend his stay with the clan who had housed him during his exile. …The only downside (or “upside,” as depending on the day he’s asked, his answer could go either way) is Majima—that is, if the Skydancer doesn’t try to kill him first. |
