Crimson let the harsh words wash over her as she relived the painful memories again and again. It wasn’t her fault! And yet they didn’t care…
“You’re not our daughter anymore.”
“Leave and never return.”
As always, she ran outside. Not able to fight back against what she knew was wrong. A loud scream tore loose from her body, and a pillar of whirling frost, the very thing she was so ashamed of, burst forth into the sky. Flakes of snow which had previously been floating idly around her turned into needle-sharp daggers of ice that flew around in a fierce pattern. Every now and then, one would clip her, cutting a little, but she didn’t care. Maybe, hopefully, if she let enough magic out into this storm, it would go away. Why couldn’t she have been normal? Why couldn’t her magic have manifested in the regular water patterns like her family? The ice flew faster, the needles growing longer and sharper. Everything she had went into the tornado of cold, but the magic wouldn’t go away.
She knew it never would.
