Khaenri'ah, a place which stays mysterious to the people of Teyvat. It was once a thriving country, may the gods gaze not look upon it, it never faltered the workmanship of the country. It was ruled under the Blacksun Dynasty, but the day where the Dynasty came to a fall, the kingdom of Khaenri’ah plummeted into the hands of chaos. The people who inhabit the once peaceful land were bestowed upon with a curse that transformed them into ravaging monsters, doing nothing but creating havoc wherever they went. Even with expedition Grandmaster Arundolyn alongside Rostam, when they fought the monsters which spewed from the now fallen nation, when Rostam lost his life during the battle of the cataclysm, it left Arundolyn bereaved, and he abandoned the battle when hopelessness for the land finally overtook him. In the present day, the country was still heavily affected by the curse, even going as far as being worse than before, and all the blame fell upon Mondstadt, even as far as the whole of Teyvat. The population which still lived in the kingdom sent the only hope they had left, Kaeya, sending him to the city and leaving him with the Ragnvindr family, to infiltrate them. Those who planned out the project were seeking war with Monstadt, to avenge what they have done to their population.

Even though so much pain and suffering, a small population of people still lived there, refusing to move from their homes and into the safer lands of Teyvat. May have they once lived on the ground, most had moved underground, seeking more shelter from the monsters that lurked around up above.

There in the undergrowth, flourished a forest made from the art of alchemy, as the natural fauna was scarce. Hidden inside of its glowing depths, was a cottage, inhabited by a small familyconsisting of a mother, a father, and their single daughter. Akaza and Jako were both once travellers, Jako finding passion through cartography and artifacts, whilst Akaza was more of a fighter, always using her fire powers, always hunting for the most difficult of challenges to face even if it meant her life was on the line. They both met when their travels crossed paths, and as time went on, they soon fell in love and conducted frequent adventures together. As time flew by, they became older and they wanted to form a family, after Jako’s many tries of convincing Akaza to drop her sword, she finally did. With the Mora they had, they bought the small little cottage and quickly made it into their home. That cottage would be where their daughter would be born. The parents adored their new child, her having both the looks of her mother and father, her eyes shining like the stars above and her hair looking like the sweet flowers of spring, both being picky and trying to fit the perfect name, they both bickered back and forth on the name, but they finally settled on naming her Akasuki.

The years flew by as she grew up, quickly learning the ways of life as her parents guided her through everything. They always treated her with love and respect, trying their best to bring her joy even throughout the toughest of times. Many nights her father would bring her out to admire the stars, telling her about the constellations and the stories behind them, she always listened with admirability and they’d stay there for hours until Akasuki fell asleep. Akasuki loved exploring, so they’d always let her roam outside, on the condition one had to keep an eye on her and keep her close, just in case any monsters ever appeared. Akasa always invited Akasuki to come cook with her, even if it wasn’t perfect, joy was always brought from doing so and the meals always came out as being delicious. In her spare time whilst the parents worked, she drew with artistic talent all kinds of things, even making her own universe. Akasuki was always creative, and so when an idea popped up in her mind, she’d draw it out on making, then make sure to show it to her parents, where they’d always respond with pride and admiration. Akasa had created a small garden to the left of the cottage, growing homemade fruit and such for them to eat. It was on a simple day where Akasa was tending to her plants, bringing along Akasuki, when one of the plants caught fire. She knew it wasn’t herself as she had long learnt to control her magic, but quickly she realized it was Akasuki, who had inherited the same fire magic powers as she did.

As she grew old, she grew up with only positivity from her parent’s side, but she never knew the constant worry which slowly crept up in their minds. In more so recent years, the monsters who used to be located more towards the north, have started spreading out, looking for more food and resources. The family knew the time would come where their home would be destroyed by the likes of these monsters. When Akasuki was of age, they told her the stories of the kingdom, the country, and the situation they found themselves in. Akasuki was confused as to why they couldn’t just move or go to Monstadt to be safe from the creatures who stalked. She noticed the flash of disagreement on her mother’s face, before she quickly responded, explaining they didn’t have enough Mora to afford to move. Akasuki didn’t push on anymore and truly understood the situation. Days were spent her mother would teach her how to use her elemental powers, teaching her how to control them, and use them in defense or attack in a fight. Once she got the hang of it, by herself, Akasuki started teaching herself how to integrate the flames into fights with her sword, with the creativity she held, she was able to finally achieve mixing close-range fighting with her fire powers. Her parents were impressed when she showed them off. She was also allowed to travel further, to see more, but was still quite limited as, as much as she knew to fight, they were worried about the monsters. Her personality changed a lot to, as she became much feistier and more brutally honest, her art improved majorly, she got better at cooking, not needing the help of her mother, or leaving a mess behind and her desire to explore was largely more intent than before but with the restrictions from her parents, she couldn’t satisfy such need. Akasuki matured a lot from her younger age.
