Kazz is an enigmatic figure. Dark and somewhat mean-spirited, it has often been wondered why Kazz remains a member of the clan. Some speculate he is a demonic spirit conjured by Idurre. Others say he is a homunculus crafted of insects, shadows, and clay, also by Idurre. No matter what he may be, all agree that there is something rather unsettling about the dark dragon.

Despite his ill-temper, Kazz has earned Nekai's trust. He is a dragon that can truly be called ruthless, though Nekai keeps him in line well. While he won't attack unprovoked, he does not suffer fools and enjoys his solitude. Most dragons avoid him and he prefers it that way.

His mate is Idurre, and the two often spend their time together in the outskirts of the clan territory. What the two scheme up together during that time is known to them and them alone.

Though their children often inherit the couple's ferocious looks and dour attitude, it is generally agreed upon that the offspring make for much better company than either of the parents.
