Deep in the thickets of the Mire, an imperial dragon sits atop a pile of treasure. Though its exact location is unknown, and any adventurers trying to track him never come back with adequate information... if they come back at all. Those who do return are often paranoid and shaken, their exploration team decimated. Most were too terrified to speak, unable to describe the horrors they’d mumble fragments of.

It wasn’t until one came back with the severed head of his teammate in a bag that the concerns of the explorers were heard.

Mirage is, as his name suggests, an apparition. He manifests when adventurers get too confident traipsing around in his territory. Those who resist the urge to shovel some coins from his mountain of treasure into their sacks… are the ones who survive.
