Aldrik is unofficially a dad to every dragon in the Dann-j'noss Clan. While he cannot check up on every single one in the lair, if one of them comes to him for help, he'll do his best to provide guidance. Plus, he regularly visits the Nesting Grounds to play with the hatchlings, and takes guard duty at the lair's entrance to welcome newcomers. Therefore, he knows everyone in the lair. And while he might be more attached to some, he's always been of the opinion that every dragon that had been a part of their family should get remembered.

Thus, the Wall of Remembrance was created. The wall of the cave that holds the majority of the lair's caves and spans into the Nesting Grounds holds the memory of those dragons that have been a part of the Clan for a long time before moving on elsewhere. Visitors, of course, are not painted onto the wall, but all those who lived here long enough to be missed had their likeness drawn upon this wall, with some texts next to them describing their life in the Clan.

Aldrik is especially close to his immediate family, adopted or blood. He still considers himself a friend to every dragon in the lair. As for his mate, he has followed Bloodwing when she was a wandering dragon looking to start her own clan, and since then, he had never had eyes for any other. And while she is incredibly fierce and intimidating, she can soften up for him - and him only. Their personalities mixed well when founding the clan, as Bloodwing would scare away dragons who wanted to join them if she was left to her own devices. Aldrik on his own, however, could not have figured out how to defend the lair so well against raiders and hostile creatures.

Many of their children have left the Lair for good, but those that remain - Dianthus, Ruffle, Lyra and Koiboi - are visited regularly and show no signs of ever wanting to leave the Clan.
