Many would describe Clay as too confident. He's sold snake oil, hosted magic shows, swindled many out of their hoards, until he eventually settled down and started a religion. He takes offense to people who call it a cult; he cares too much for everyone who joins his services. Dirch is the only thing that makes him nervous up until he steps in front of his pedestal, in front of the pews. Privately, Clay has never felt like he fits in. Most of the other dragons look so extravagant-- causing or witnessing miracles. Clay's deity has never interacted with him directly since he was a child, unlike other dragons who have formed relations with their gods. Because of this, he tends to be cold and reserved when others talk about their feelings and beliefs. Clay has largely mellowed out from his performing days. He used to be spritely and loud, but after running and hiding every day during the war, he lost his spark. He's looking to get it back, but first he's gotta take care of himself and his folk. |
