I am the sun's descent into night.

It was never Myopia's fault. When asked, she'll say it entirely. The recent events were never her fault. Maybe she was the catalyst, maybe the cause, but never the sole instigator. Myopia certainly is of malicious intent. Jealous and vindictive, her travels always ran with foul luck. Born into the wrong flight, Myopia fell quickly to her sisters of shadow, mingling with them and learning their dangerous ways. Soon, her skills were unparalleled among her kin. Efficient and silent, her dappled body always blended into the night before she killed. Oh, she wore the night like a silken dress. It made a beautiful sight for her victims. Myopia's true love is her poisons. Whilst a quick death is beautiful, and glorious, her blades don't get used often. Dragons start getting suspicious. A slow, sickly death doesn't make anyone suspicious. The downside of that is often her victims don't see their assassin before they die. Myopia is scared of earwigs, a fear carried with her from a young age. Every night she checks her ears in fear. Myopia is never one to be dominated, in battle or in life. She will always hold the upper hand, even when survival seems rare. The fact she still survives is a testament to her tricks. Elysia is a good friend of Myopia. Unable to hide herself from Elysia's many eyes, the two formed a bond when the two unsuccessfully tried to kill each other. Ever since then, Myopia has been doing the dirty work for Elysia's rituals. Elysia keeps her hands clean, proclaiming her purity and innocence when others question her, and Myopia gets to wet her precious blades. As long as Myopia fulfils the traditional rites, and ensures the body's safe passage into the afterlife, then Elysia is happy. Myopia knows of Elysia's mistakes, but at least the Beast has forgiven her. His new ""companion"" thankfully knows no different. As such, Elysia is not allowed to perform a ritual alone ever again, lest she accidentally leaves another soul in purgatory .

Myopia's sister loved her more than her father ever did. Her mother was a strong female force in the heady light clan, but her father was just a useless piece of meat, used for his genes. Whilst she was beautiful, Myopia always hated her father. Her sister agreed. When her sister left, Myopia felt the same was needed of her. She was not destined to stay forever in the light clan. The sun shone too bright on her dusky scales. She only ever felt comfortable at night. And so it was night she left, slithering out under the pallid streaks of moonlight. Down the steps of the hewn city she slid, into the gaping arms of the shadowy land beneath her. She was greeted by others, females of the shadow. Her new sisters. They loved her, more than her previous family, but her life there wasn't an easy one. Her accommodation required payment, of a currency she had little of. So she dedicated her time to the sisters, training in the deadly arts. Many nights were spent throwing daggers, climbing through stunted trees, twisting and turning, hiding, and studying.She had talent, yes, but her endurance was poor, and her steps heavy. It took many weeks but she soon brought down her first silent kill. The poor dragon was never aware she was there. She set off from her sisters, armed with the tools they gave her. She wandered, hating the deserts for their sun and heat. She relished the cool nights and their comforting shadow. Soon she reigned over every place she stepped. Dragons would die from mysterious circumstances near her, for reasons she never bothered explaining. It was easier to feign ignorance if discovered, which increasingly became less of an occurrence. Soon she was involved in others lives. She loved watching a particularly juicy story between three males unfold, though the story went too slow in her opinion. A little dabbling was necessary in her opinion, but the result was most certainly not her fault. Another was of a certain clan in the Shrieking Wilds. The cool forest melted with her scales quite nicely, and the lives of the dragons in front of her were quite fascinating. One particular imperial, a sad lump of wyrm, was dying of suspicious causes. Myopia made sure to visit her often, in case she ever turned bad. Myopia felt she'd be long gone by them. But her favourite? Oooh, she shivered at the thought.... the dragon that allowed her access to the clan. Retina, the dragon who could see, the light priestess, had allowed her entry, thinking Myopia a poor unnamed dragon. It didn't take long to kill her. Wearing her skin was the fun part. Myopia melded with the clan, mingling and learning of their weird ways. No one suspected that she was of course, wearing the skin of a dead dragon. No one. Myopia still wanders around this peculiar clan. She doesn't hate them as much as her other clan, and they don't notice when Flossy's food goes missing. They just think she ate it. With the loss of their accountant, they don't notice the money go missing either. At this point they may as well be providing everything for her. Even if it required certain... dragons... to go missing.
