Olathoë is a city in Dreamland, located in the land of Lomar on the plateau of Sarkis. Nestled between two mountains, the city was full of marble towers, citadels, and fortifications. It is very near the pole, which makes it very cold. In winter, it would be left in twilit darkness, even during the day, so that the stars were always visible. The city looks ethereal and ghostly during these months. During the summer, the city would be under constant, pale sunlight. The city is inhabited by Lomarians refugees from Zobna, which was overtaken by advancing glacier fields. The Lomarians were tall, serious, beared men with long robes. The city eventually falls to invading Inutos, the ancient ancestors to the Eskimos. A guardian from the waking world kept watch in the tower, but he was put under a spell by the Pole Star: "Slumber, watcher, till the spheres/ Six and twenty thousand years/ Have revolv'd, and I return/ To the spot where now I burn."
