Pyotr awoke to see Kari, standing over him with an excited expression. He was annoyed at the fact that she woke him up so suddenly, but maybe it was an emergency. But, that seemed unlikely considering her overly excited expession.

"What is it Kari?" Said Pyotr in an annoyed voice.

"I heard, there's going to be a festival of sorts, celebrating the first day of the Greenskeeper Gathering! And, it's going to happen at midnight!" Said Kari, squealing at the thought.

"That's what you woke me up for?! Kari, I don't think some celebration is worth my energy, especially in the middle of the night. Besides, why are you so excited about this? Can't we just go there in the morning? I'm tired right now, go if you want, but I'm going back to sleep." Said Pyotr as he laid back down to sleep.

'Fine then, I'll just enjoy the festival myself, but just so you know, you'll be missing out on a lot of fun,' Said Kari as she grabbed her bag and left the small underground den, leaving Pyotr behind.

Pyotr scoffed at Kari and shook his head; he felt he was better off sleeping and saving up his energy rather than waste time going to some festival.

Pyotr never really liked most primal-eyed dragons, he thought that they were too proud of themselves, their magic, and their stronger connection to their respective elemental deities and magic, and to him, Kari was no exception. In fact, Pyotr thought that Kari was actually somewhat more annoying and proud compared to other primal-eyed dragons he'd met as she had an overly enthusiastic attitude.

Pyotr was always a serious one, and is never in the mood for any (according to him) unnecessary fun or activities. Sure, he'd crack jokes or laugh at them at times but those were on rare occasions and usually only happen after a victorious battle, a successful mission, or anything of the sort. When he'd been assigned to a small base in the Viridian Labyrinth to look for potential hives, he was given a partner. Pyotr was expecting a skilled and serious partner, much like he was, but unfortunately for him this wasn't the case. When Kari was first assigned to him he was both disappointed and relieved, sure he wasn't fond of primal-eyed dragons but her powerful magic could help in fending off hives, but depending on Kari's attitude, working and getting along with her could... be problematic, to say the least.

To his dismay, Kari had what might as well have been an opposite attitude and personality to Pyotr's. He loathed this, wishing the the pearlcatcher would take things more seriously in the face of a threat like the hivemind. The two certainly did not get along, bickering every so often and unable to agree on most things.

Perhaps, with time, they'd eventually get along, because unbeknownst to even themselves, deep down they care about each other. The question is, when were they going to express it?
