He was annoyed at his clan's insistence of taking names of things, like flowers or bugs. So he left and joined up with the first clan he met. Unfortunately, it was the Ravenous Rot Clan.

He met Malacorev while the Wildclaw was returning from delivering an egg he 'found' to another clan, grumbling about the lack of decent food in the mostly Fae clan. Scythsis asked where he was headed, was told, and then just followed the other until both arrived at the lair.
