Your mother brought back word from the last Council meeting that you have passed your trials. Of course we would expect nothing less of our son, but we were pleased to hear of your success. Your mother was less pleased to learn that you have settled in Niflheim, as she would prefer that you take your place at the left hand of one of the great clans of the wastes. She has consoled herself that you are merely going through a phase and will come to your senses eventually.

Your mother, of course, only wants the best for you, and for the reputation of her lineage. She is inflexible in her beliefs of what constitutes serving Mother, and doesn't understand that there are many paths a Necromancer can take to spread Mother's Love across the land. Whether you stay in Niflheim or continue on, it is my personal hope that you find fulfillment and happiness on whatever path you choose. Please find enclosed a small token, which I hope will remind you of where you are from and the obligations that all Necromancers must carry.

Dearest Father, I am very glad to have received your letter and gift, I will wear the chimes with pride. I understand Mother's hesitation with my settling in Niflheim, but the lure of it's knowledge was too great. I'm hoping to stay here until I have studied all I can here.

This place is strange with preternatural day cycle, with the height of day being no brighter than the dusks of our homeland. But I can still feel the heart of The Great Plague Mother here. I hope one day you can see this place, and find yourself lost in it's halls as I have.
