A Skeletal Influence

Born on what many say is the most wicked day of the year, from a powerful Storm Mage and a mysterious spy, Bones considers himself a very powerful Coatl. He enjoys getting his claws in the politics of his clan, whether it be to further himself or those who would hire him. He shares his mother's belief that family is just a tool, a way to further yourself along, yet he still has a soft spot for his half sister, Stio, one of his mother's many other children.

Though he'd never admit it, Bones does find himself wishing for a real family at times. Maybe not a spouse that he'd have to commit to, but definitely hatchlings. Though no opportunities have ever been revealed, he would jump at the shot of a political marriage. But for now, he must wait. Wait, and maybe spend more time than necessary helping out at the nesting grounds.

To say that he was a proud father was the understatement of the century. His daughters, both of them full on members of the court, one with children and another one still at home working with him? It was a father's dream.

Sure, the kids' mother was a bit of a jerk, and he wasn't exactly upset when she left for good, but that was besides the point. He had everything anyone could ever want: money, power, amazing kids (and the strange extended family that came with it). He was a happy Coatl, and that optimism managed to rub off on even the sternest dragons, the only one immune being his mother.

Since having children, his view on family has shifted. Family wasn't a tool, no, it was a privilege. You could use it to help yourself, but you also had to make sure you didn't loose it, you had to care for it. He does his best to share that belief with his daughter.
