"Sit, friend." The pearlcatcher's voice is deep, melodic, calming in the way it wreathes around your mind, through your ears, like the smoke that drifts gently through the candlelit room, "What is it you seek?"
The mirror perches on her hind legs, seated pertly on one of the many mint-colored silken cushions throughout the room, "I wish to remember. I want to know my past."
"Your past. I see. I must ask, friend, are you sure of what you desire? Once knowledge is known, one can never go back. Memory magic is a powerful thing, not to be taken lightly."
The mirror nodded, ears twitching slightly, "I understand. I still wish to remember. Help me, teamaster."
Sencha chuckled slightly, "I am no master. Merely a practitioner of the herbal arts." He reached a talon out beside him, taking his pearl into one claw and a small athame into the other. Carefully, he sheared off several flakes of layering, allowing them to fall into the teacup.
"Follow me." With the mirror close behind, he took the small cup to the counter behind him, sprinkling in green and golden powder and pouring water over it in a swift and deftly practiced motion, "Sit with me."
As it steeped, the two dragons sat beside the clay tea set.
"Teamaster-"
"Call me Sencha, friend."
"Sencha, what tea are you making for the ritual?"
"My namesake, a specialty, sencha gold leaf. The pearl shards are to increase acuity, so you remember your visions after they pass." Sencha let out a low hum, and the sound resonated deeply through the room, making the walls tremble and the bells chime gently. The teacup rattled in its saucer, and he stood abruptly, "It seems our blend is ready, friend. Let us drink."
The mirror raised the cup to her lips, and he raised his in a toast to the visitor
