Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this mysterious servant wandered a little too far from his home lair (grxndsxn, 437722), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting him!

Butler would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt him after he's been travelling long enough, just let his owner know!

It seemed likely that Butler would prefer to follow in the footsteps of his parents, Tobias and Fiddler. After all, most very young hatchlings tend to look to their parents/guardians for inspiration. In an unlikely turn of fate, he actually looked up to a good friend of his father's, known as Owen. Butler had great interest in being a servant, and it's what he ended up being named for.
That's not to say that Butler didn't follow in the footsteps of his parents - he very much so did. Like his father, Butler managed to be a classy trickster, and like his mother, Butler can be quite rambunctious at times. Butler is also a master of spirits, which makes him rather powerful if he needs to be.
Along his travels, Butler came across a traveler’s clan—in other words, a clan that accepted dragons that roamed Sornieth to stay for a while. The dragons of the clan gladly took him in; there, he served the clan until he left again to travel the world. The dragons there thought him odd: how could a servant be patient and quite obedient while playing the obnoxious trickster at the same time? The dragons of that clan, for a while, found rocks in their sleeping nests or their apparel hidden on the myriad storing shelves in the lair. The other travelers quite liked him, as he was one of them, and they recounted their adventures. Soon enough, though, Butler decided he didn’t like the Shifting Expanse—it was much too hot and dry and boring—so he continued on his way, accepting provisions from the clan before biding farewell.
By the time Butler found himself in a nook of the Windswept Plateau, his trickster nature seemed to have mellowed out. Just slightly. There were plenty of dragons of a similar mindset at Wayfarer's Rest and he got along with them splendidly. However after scoping out the different opprotunites to help out in the clan, he surprisingly found the most satisfying work to be supporting the two siblings who ran the local forge, and their work tended to leave Butler's days too full to sneak away.
