Biography

The first thing you notice about the dragon is their size. They're no bigger than a hatchling, but their proptions are that of an adult. As you come closer, you notice that their head has a strange shape, like a cross between an Imperial's and a Wildclaw's head… that's when you notice that actually, they don't look like an Imperial at all.
And maybe, if you're very brave, you don't scream as they start talking, their voice ignoring that step with air and mouths and ears, and going directly into your brain instead.

Chapter 1

I could tell you a lot about who Ben and his sister Sophie are.
I could tell you of another world, split into many isles. I could tell you of shapeshifters and transdimensional wormholes.
But this is about Sornieth. And their journey in Sornieth started with two beings stumbling through a badly-made summoning circle, fell three planes, and came out into a bright forest.
Sophie turned to her brother. "This", she hissed, "is you fault."
Ben started to reply, but was interrupted by a low scratch, followed by the sound of a twig breaking.
Two dragons, one silver, one gold, scrambled to the next tree and jumped up. In the safety of the branches, Ben asked: Where do you think we are?
A dragon broke through the brush. They looked unlike any other dragon Ben had ever seen. They walked upright on two legs. Their body was teal with darker spots, and their wings shimmered in a faint yellow. Two ram's horns framed their head.
Far from home, that's for sure.
The dragon turned to look at an invisible companion and made a dark, growling sound. Ben almost didn't see the being that emitted the answering chirp. This, too was a dragon - but a tiny dragon, no bigger than an eagle.
What do we do now?
And suddenly, the tiny dragon was right next to his head.
With an embarrassing yelp, Ben stumbled back. Right off the tree.

Chapter 3

Sophie really needs to stop being so salty about everything… Where was I? Oh yes, Rainbow.
Rainbow helped them a lot during their first few weeks. He taught them the language of dragons, written and spoken. He was fascinated by their ability to shapeshift, and showed them around to meet as many of the species as possible. (Ben never managed to become a Gaoler. Sophie had similar problems with Coatls.) Over time, most dragons seemed to view them as less "creepy aliens" and more as "that weird couple from elsewhere."

Snipets I must include one day:
[Coatl/Fae[/i]] growled, head crest fanned. Ben smiled in a way that said: I know exactly what you body language means, and I'll ignore it. Watch me.

Exalting Ben to the service of the Stormcatcher will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
