B I O G R A P H Y
Edwin originally comes from Shadow, though he hardly remembers it. When he was a hatchling, Rain rescued him from a band of beastclan smugglers who claimed to have acquired him through a perfectly legal sale. Having no way of knowing what clan he'd come from or who his parents were, Rain decided to take him back to Magnolia. There, Edwin was raised by Jim among the rest of the clan's hatchlings. He took an interest in knitting and sowing from an early age, when he would admiringly run his claws over the fine fabric of Jim's prized silk scarf. However, there was only one skilled tailor in the small town - the notoriously fickle Helen the Witch.

B I O G R A P H Y
It took much convincing, cajoling, and coercing before Helen finally acquiesced to taking him on as an apprentice. He quickly proved himself determined to learn, and is already fairly skilled despite his relative youth. However, he lacks all magical talent, and so must sometimes figure out for himself methods of doing the work that Helen would simply use enchantments for. The result of this is that he has become exceptionally resourceful and adaptable, as well as very very stubborn. He loves knitting wool most of all, and makes sweaters in his spare time, both for himself and for his friends.

B I O G R A P H Y
Edwin is soft-spoken and very shy around most people, with the exceptions of Jim, his few friends, and - of course - Helen. He doesn't have much patience for her airy personality, and they can often be heard sassing each other behind closed doors; a favorite argument is the ease and speed of magical apparatus such as Helen's enchanted loom, versus the inherent value and attention to detail of work done by hand. He's also good friends with Honeybeam, and visits her café whenever he feels up to being social.
