Moonlightwashed over the cracked planes of Dragonhome with a silver hue. Somewhere in this expansive desert of crumbling stone, the pillars of an ancient temple flickered into being. It was not typical for the temple to manifest outside of the strange dream-realm that concealed it. . . but tonight it laid itself bare to mortal eyes. Amidst endless pyres of forbidden treasure, a silken creature coiled around his most prized of possessions. The nest he guarded contained two gleaming and luminous eggs that seemed to flicker faintly when the moonlight shimmered through the sky door that lined the temple’s ceiling above. In time, they would hatch and explore the temple’s strange halls, pondering the myriad of cursed artifacts sentenced to rot in this place. The first child had strange eyes for she gazed upon many an accursed object in her youth. Her sight was deemed cursed as well and it granted her the ability to to see the darkness within all things and tempt it forth. Those who encounter her within the desert believe they have seen a strange mirage that whispers into their minds and bring forth madness. “The beast told me to do it”. They later say.
