Alonso isn't idealistic. He also doesn't believe in boogeymen.
Probably because he could see himself as one.
Starting as a dragon that focuses on protecting his brother, he has developed into one that keeps secrets from him. For his own protection, of course.
He speaks mainly with Eilan and works on projects with him. Abraxas doesn't like his methods, so of course Alonso keeps them secret.
He's the man behind the curtain, and will do things most people can't dream of.
Of course, he isn't fully a monster. But is anyone?
