We took the plunge, together we fell
Into the cauldron, the poison well
And in its depths we were unmade
And for one horrifying moment, we thought we would fade.

But we swam up, up to the surface
Came to with disoriented breaches
We were melting, you and me and me and you,
As we scrambled up and ashore we drew.

We were changed beyond recognition
But faced with a strange apparition
Yet seeing the haunted eyes of a lover
We saw the souls of each other.

Now what was once one is now two
And two became four and anew
As strange aberrations we can finally be together,
Forever.
