Vortex is a sort of immortal but still somehow biological statue come to life. She can go from a dragon to solidifying back up to an immovable statue.
Still, though, she is more.. mortal than many of the other 'god' dragons in the tab. But she is definitely not mortal and probably more like a god with goodwill towards other dragons.

She doesn't stay as detached from the other mortals as her fellows, she tends to appear and help at natural disasters like hurricanes. She doesn't look fully present physically if you're really paying attention, but otherwise she can pass as being one of them. Just don't think about how strange she looks while moving.

She can brighten her gembond, streaks in her starmap, and certain parts of her wings like bioluminescence. Either glows or dims when transforming back into statue-like form- depends on the situation. It's a flexible ability.

Can be shattered or chipped when in statue form; whatever was chipped cannot come back (something can not be made from nothing) and when in 'normal dragon' form, looks like just a chunk taken out.
It is possible to fuse rock or that sort of material to her when in statue form to sort of be a replacement part, but it does not morph to look like her body, it stays a similar color it did when it became part of her.

Very heavy even when in dragon form. Good luck trying to drag her anywhere.

Her presence feels heavy but she can manipulate where the weight goes so when shes holding onto a mortal so she doesn't accidentally crush them.

Doesn't need to eat but does need to drink for some reason? Or at least she enjoys drinking water. She can process and tolerate salt water, somehow, and bad water doesn't make her sick.

Has no idea where she came from she just showed up one day and was like. Fascinating. Time to go save those dragons from a tsunami.

Does she have a bit of a hero complex or is it just pure goodwill? Who knows.

She likes sticking around with the dragons or creatures after she saves them, but its not really about the praise, she just likes learning and enjoys talking to them. Praise just kind of slides over her scales. Or... scale-like rock.

Gets along with other dragons in the tab (though Akali doesn't think she counts as a god. Vortex doesn't say 'you don't really either' to her, which is what she's thinking. She's mostly amused)

Enjoys learning languages.
