Aaliyah.
AALIYAH.
NOT ALIAH.
It's honestly a pain in the tail, having your name being so unique. She loved her parents, of course. She was a good, little, perfectly imprinted dragonet. Her mother was a horrifyingly efficient hunter, and got to be the closest to Aaliyah, and yes, was the one who named her. Her father was a mediocre fighter, but a very chaotic hunter. His hunts were very odd and scattered. Sometimes he would tag along with his father's hunts, occasionally sitting still for hors to wait for just the right moment to hunt prey. This was a very odd hunting style for a Wildclaw. It was safe to say he was the less powerful one in the couple. Aaliyah's cousins always hissed and gossiped that the marriage was only to expand the family trees of both clans.
Aaliyah was the third, and second youngest sibling out of a clutch of four. Her big brother, the one who would have hatched first, was stolen mere days before he would have hatched. Her father and uncle scoured their main rival's den for any hints of the stolen egg, but it was completely empty, abandoned.
The second eldest egg, Aaliyah's big sister, hatched with no problems. She was very ambitious and had an 'I'm better than you' attitude. Needless to say, she left the nest quicker than all the others and wasted no time running away with the son of a very large an prestigious family tree. She was the tougher one and was the one incubating the eggs, but they switched out every so often due to their similar strength levels. Aaliyah's first batch of nephews weren't considered true parts of the family until her sister and her mate were officially married. Aaliyah wasn't involved in the chaotic drama due to the one-night-stand that started all of this and the really mad promised wife that thought she had been cheated out of a mate, so she didn't need to deal with that can of worms.
Aaliyah has about five batches of nieces and nephews from that side of the family tree.
The last egg and the youngest one, Aaliyah's little brother was a much more reserved and shy. He never connected with his sisters so Aaliyah didn't know him well by the time he was married off. They haven't kept in touch, her only knowing about her nephew through hearing her parents rambling about their extended family tree to one of the possible rivals.
As the middle child and having a closer personality to her sister, she was expected to take a route similar to her big sister. Instead of that, she just ran off. No fuss, no confusion, no mountain of certificates, just a nice waltz into the desert and away from home. She stayed with a small band of Ridgebacks for a little before wandering off again. Once she wandered into new territory, she managed to perfect her new hunting styles. She perfected her bow and arrow skills, alongside with some cool new tracking skills. When it came to forest tracking, she was a beast. When she wandered off towards the Wind Steppes, she met a little clan. Shrugging, she joined in on them and decided to try something new. This was her first meeting with a Wind Flight Clan.
When it came to hunting, she was the best out of all of them and would definitely be the incubator if she would ever have eggs. After a little, a funky Southern Icefield Wildclaw joined in on the clan. Estel was shy, panicky, twitchy, and a little silly. He became clingy and 'protective' (as much as a twig like him could be)of Aaliyah, the only other Wildclaw. Aaliyah gently friendzoned him, just in case, but he viewed her as more of a big sister. They were good buddies and both were very protective of each other. They often hunt together, Estel flushing the prey while Aaliyah shoots them down.
Aaliyah is a very high energy dragon, though she's often very quiet and thoughtful when it comes to serious topics. She isn't religious or superstitious, but she mourns for the animals she hunts, believing that all dead should be respected, snacks or not. She just cant function in extreme heat. She just whines and flops around. You'd think grey light was radioactive to her too. She becomes sluggish and tired. Aaliyah states that it feels like the sun is mocking her. If it's supposed to be sunny, why does it look like there are blindingly bright grey clouds in the sky? Mixed weather is weird to her. When she's energetic enough, she'll go out and screech at the sky to just make up it's mind before flopping back into her room.
